Way to go, NBC. What next, cancel Heroes?

I love TV, and I love movies. I risk arrest every day because every day, 24 hours a day, I download television seasons and movies to a massive hard drive so I can watch them at my leisure, and without commercials.

So when one of my favorite new TV shows gets canceled, you’re going to hear about it.

NBC thinks that the new season of Southland, a cop drama based in LA, is too dark and gritty for a 9 ‘o clock show. In other words, NBC needs to grow some balls.

Apparently what the viewers want matters little, because all you can find on the subject is people who are upset with the network’s decision. There is hope, however: since the new season has already been shot, edited, and post-produced, it might be picked up by another network. We can only hope.
